As of Sunday, July 12, 2020, Albany Evangelical Church reopened for in-person services again! It continues to look a little different for now as efforts are made to comply with the current recommendations for COVID-19 precautions. Some of the pews are blocked off to make distancing easier, and all are asked to visit with each other outdoors. The use of masks is requested to protect each other’s health and protect our ability to meet together freely by complying with current rules. Please be assured that increased cleaning and sanitizing measures are being implemented in the church building.
For any who are still unable to or uncomfortable with coming to church in person, a life-streamed service accessed from here begins at 9 a.m., and in-church service begins at 10:45 a.m.
Children’s ministry is still on hold, but a special children’s bulletin and other quiet activities are provided for the kids at the service. Adult Sunday School has not been reinitiated yet. As of April 4, 2021, the nursery is open every Sunday morning (at 10:40am) for children ages birth through 3 years old. Volunteers have had a personal background check, and the nursery is cleaned thoroughly each week.
